With a busy schedule and kids to keep track of, there’s no better space in your home to create than a family command center. Within a few minutes, some help from our VELCRO® Brand Heavy Duty Tape and a few organisational products, you can create a place where everyone is on the same page. Think of it as your centralized calendar filled with appointments, to-dos, and even little reminders! Well, what are you waiting for? Let’s get started!

What You’ll Need

How to Create a Family Command Center

First things first, you’ll want to find a nice area in your house where this home command center will live. Usually, someplace close to the front door is a good idea. That way, you’ll be reminded of your upcoming appointments as you walk out the door.

Once you’ve picked a spot, lay out all your materials – calendars, sticky notes, and mail bins. You’ll want to decide what to hang before getting started.

Now it’s time to hang everything! Remove the residual dust off your walls and wipe it down with rubbing alcohol. Once dry, cut strips of your VELCRO® Brand Heavy Duty Tape to fit your items’ needs.

Peel the liner from the fastener and press it firmly onto your first item. Make sure the back of your item is flat for a secure hold.

Peel away the liner from the other side of the tape and place it where you would like the item to hang on the wall. You might need to use a few pieces depending on the size of your item.

4. Peel away the clear backing from the other side of the tape and place it in the exact location you would like the item to hang on the wall. You might need to use a few pieces depending on the item you are hanging.

Repeat this until each item is organised and hung the way you want it.
