School holidays are almost over, which means the weather is fading and so are your brilliant ideas for keeping little ones entertained! But never fear, we’ve got a few tricks up our sleeves and we’re ready to share the love. We’ve rounded up some of our favourite summer pastimes guaranteed to keep boredom at bay well into September. Go on, have a go!
Little green fingers – Getting out in the great outdoors this summer needn’t mean an expensive trip or a long flight. Take the chance to explore your own green spaces, and make fun in sprucing them up! You could even take inspiration from our hanging basket guide.
Get messy in the kitchen – Baking is a delicious and easy way to keep little hands busy throughout the summer. Get creative, think outside the box, and who knows what you’ll end up with. Your creations can even take pride of place at a summer BBQ or garden party!
Theme parks – A day trip to a theme park or fun fair can be a wonderful activity for the whole family, and for people of any age (yes, that’s our way of saying we don’t judge you for loving the Waltzers a little too much). See what events are popping up in your area, and you might be surprised at the fun waiting around the corner.
Be active – Now would be a great time to delve into the shed to dust off your bikes, scooters and any other summertime relics that have been locked away in there since last year. A family bike ride doesn’t cost a thing, but can be a great way to explore your local area together, get active and make some fun summer memories!
