Although it may not seem like it, it is actually the height of summer. And with summer comes garden parties, festivals and of course flower crowns. So whether you’re off to a muddy music festival, want to wow at a wedding or simply have a craving for some crafty accessories, you’re in luck with this remarkably easy DIY flower crown how-to.
Before you begin you’ll need to get your hands on flowers, some ribbon and a pack of VELCRO® Brand Super Slim Stick On, which you can buy here. You can source your faux flowers cheaply from crafts stores, or plump for silk ones if you’re feeling fancy!
Step 1: Take your ribbon and wrap it around your head to measure the size for your crown. Make a mark that will let you know where to start and stop adding flowers, leaving some ribbon to tie at the back of your head.
Step 2: Now you can start getting creative by adding your flowers! Peel your VELCRO® Brand Super Slim Stick On and stick one side to the ribbon and the other to your flowers, then simply stick to secure your flowers.
Step 3: Stick your flowers in whichever arrangement you wish. You don’t have to go the whole way around the crown; you can leave some of it bare, or alternatively make a statement at the front with extra flowers, it’s completely up to you!
And there you have it; it really is that simple! Now go forth and spread summery flower power.
